Futamigaura beach in Itoshima on a clear summer day

Itoshima Tours & Tickets

Every sensible way to see Itoshima without your own car — compared, priced and bookable in a couple of taps.

Itoshima is close to Fukuoka but awkward without a car: the waterfall and temple are in the hills, the married rocks and cafés are on the far coast, and the buses that link them are few. That is exactly the gap a guided tour fills — a coach or private driver strings together in one day what would take two by public transport.

Everything here is booked through GetYourGuide, which means live availability, free cancellation on most options and reserve-now-pay-later on many. Prices are indicative “from” starting points in US dollars and change with the season — tap any card for the live price in your own currency.

An honest note on choice: GetYourGuide’s Itoshima range is small — around twenty products, most of them coach day trips from Fukuoka that follow similar routes. We list the real ones, say how they differ, and add a few Fukuoka experiences that pair well with an Itoshima day. Itineraries on coach tours can change with the season and traffic, so check the listed stops before you book.

Booking questions

Which Itoshima tour should I book?

For a first visit on a budget, a coach day trip that includes Shiraito Falls, Raizan Sennyoji and Sakurai Futamigaura. If you care more about cafés, food or photography than about ticking sights, a private custom tour is better value than it looks, especially for three or four people.

Do the tours include lunch and entrance fees?

It varies. Many coach tours stop for ramen or at a food area where you pay for your own meal, and temple entrance fees may or may not be included. Read the “includes” section of each listing.

Will I see the sunset on a day tour?

Usually not. Most coach tours visit Futamigaura in the afternoon and return to Fukuoka before dusk. For the sunset, go independently, stay overnight, or ask a private guide to plan the day around it.

Are the tours in English?

Most coach tours from Fukuoka run with multilingual guides — commonly English and Chinese, sometimes Korean. Languages differ by departure, so check the options on each listing.

Can I cancel?

Most tours on GetYourGuide offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. The exact policy is shown on each listing before you pay.
